Experience of Studying MSc in Digital Marketing Management at the University of Wolverhampton

Hi! I’m Sarah, student at University of Wolverhampton studying MSc Digital Marketing Management. Few months ago I was in another part of the world living in Pakistan whose first language is Urdu. Getting enrolled in University of Wolverhampton was a dream come true for me as this was my initiative towards a progressive future, personal development, communication, confidence, and discovering my strengths.

Being a national of Pakistan it was difficult for me to have practical exposure specifically in the course of Digital Marketing. I always wanted to study abroad to gain knowledge in a more broader and diversified context. Studying in a UK’s University is not only challenging but also competitive that eventually brings out the best in me. The British curriculum is one of the best education systems which is being respected throughout the world.

The University of Wolverhmapton is situated at the city center of Wolverhmapton. The architecture and infrastructure of the buildings are jaw dropping. The university has invested millions of pounds to provide facilities to their students.

When I started my University Initially, it was quite difficult for me to cope along with all local students in terms of language and culture (as the locals are familiar of it) but The University made it so easier for me that I would never have imagined. The tutors are super helpful no matter how many times you ask questions they will never be hesitant to help you. Not only this but if students require extra time from the tutor they are always happy to help you out.

Even after taking academic writing classes I always wanted to learn more about Citations and Harvard Style referencing for which university provides skills workshops that are accessible online free of cost throughout the semester, so literally you cannot miss out on anything!!

The teachers and staffs of the university are very friendly and would help in any manner they could. The delivery of lecture focuses on the practicality of the subject and is completely industry focused. We had the chance to work on amazing projects starting from developing a strategic marketing communication project for Starlight Campers, Working on online personal brand, publishing own website, to working on Dissertation.

Language was another hurdle international students face, which was made easier as there were specific lectures with academic tutor where students could focus on writing skills specifically designed for international students.

Hands on industry experience combining with the highest teaching standards brought out the fullest potential in me. As a Digital marketing student, I have worked on several projects and got specialized in Social Media Marketing, SEO, Content Marketing, Digital Marketing Strategies to name a few. I have built enough confidence to build websites too.

Facilities at the University of Wolverhmapton were impeccable. The wide range of library services including E-Book, Academic Journals that students can access for their studies. For research work I took help from University Database that includes Science Direct, AbI, ABSCO, SCOPUS and many more that have top peer reviewed journals helps immensely in your research work.

A comfortable environment with extra emphasis on student’s well being is the essential aspect that every student looks for. There were academic coaches assigned to all the students with which students can discuss all their issues related to courses, grades, suggestions, modules, schedules, study patterns one to one. They help students even in mental well-being which is just great.

And this is not just it! Even after finishing the degree, University of Wolverhampton have dedicated teams to look for jobs which isn’t just limited to Part-time or full-time jobs as they also help you get jobs through different forums, preparing students for interviews, and help students make effective CV’s for Job placements.

With passion, hard-work, and dedication you can achieve anything in life. Two elements that I learned from University, is to have resilience and perseverance that can help you achieve all your dreams, goals, and ambitions. The teaching methodologies and practices University of Wolverhmapton has adopted helps students engage more towards studies, keeps them focused, and helps them understand every concept in an effective way.

The university developed my understanding and skills for Digital Marketing to the core that I learned so many practical skills and I was successful in gaining a Job offer during my studies. The experience in the University itself is so overwhelming as it execeeded my expectations. I never wanted to skip a single class and always thrived my best to study. A valuable degree from a recognized university can make you and your career. I made lots of friends with amazing memories that I will cherish life-long.

I would say that studying in University of Wolverhmapton made my professional career thereby enhancing my skills. It’s the best decision I’ve ever taken that has changed my world and has opened the doors of opportunities for me.
